Walkies With a Smile

We are a dog walking and pet sitting business inspired by two rescue dogs, Chase and Lacey. The name is Walkies with Chase and Lacey. However, we are a primarily 1-1 dog walking company; however, we do offer group walks as well.

Through my own experience with rescue dogs, I understand that every dog is different. Some are confident and full of energy, while others need patience, reassurance and time to build trust — and I always work at each dog’s pace. I pay close attention to body language and behaviour to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable and happy in my care.

I have experience working with nervous and sensitive dogs, particularly through owning and caring for my own rescue dogs, who both came with very different needs. One of my dogs, Chase, was extremely nervous around strangers when I first adopted him and would avoid contact entirely. Through patience, consistency and positive reinforcement, I’ve helped him build confidence at his own pace, and he is now a much more relaxed and social boy.

I’m very mindful of reading a dog’s body language and recognising when they feel overwhelmed, and I always prioritise going at the dog’s pace to build trust and a positive bond. I completely understand the importance of allowing nervous dogs time to feel comfortable, especially with 1:1 walks.

I offer dog walking, home visits and pet sitting, all tailored to suit your dog’s individual needs — whether that’s calm 1:1 walks, playtime and cuddles at home, or companionship while you’re away.
